Capt. Virendra Mishra releases music video ‘DOST – Zindagi Doston Ke Naam’

Capt. Virendra Mishra, a seasoned Merchant Navy professional and passionate singer, has touched a powerful emotional chord with his latest music video titled ‘DOST – Zindagi Doston Ke Naam’. Released on YouTube less than a week ago, the video has already reached around 10,000 views, earning glowing appreciation from viewers for its heartfelt message and evocative presentation.

Based in Navi Mumbai, Capt. Mishra currently serves as the CEO of ASHMA Maritime Services Pvt. Ltd. His journey from the structured world of the Merchant Navy to the creative space of music is both rare and inspiring. ‘DOST – Zindagi Doston Ke Naam’ stands out for its melodious singing, touching lyrics and simple yet soul-stirring picturisation. Capt. Mishra’s musical path reflects dedication and passion. He was a finalist in the Grand Finale of Artium Superstar Season 1, where he performed in front of iconic judges including Padma Shri Sonu Nigam, Padma Shri Aruna Sairam, Raju Singh, Ananth Vaidyanathan, P. Unnikrishnan and Louis Banks. His pursuit of musical excellence continues as he trains in Hindustani classical music under Shri Anik Thakurta at Artium Academy and learns Tabla from Pt. Pratik Joshi. Capt. Mishra has also completed a course in Ghazal writing from Rekhta Learning.

Beginning his career in the Merchant Navy in 1989 as a Trainee Nautical Officer, he sailed in various capacities and rose to the rank of Captain. In 2007, he moved to a shore-based role, joining Essar Shipping as Deputy General Manager, followed by his tenure as the Country Head for the India Division at International Bunkering Middle East. He now leads ASHMA Maritime Services as its CEO.

Through ‘DOST – Zindagi Doston Ke Naam’, Capt. Mishra proves that passion can flourish alongside profession and that some of the most touching art comes from the most unexpected places. His story is a testament to the beauty of heartfelt expression and creative pursuit.
