Pune, July 25, 2025: The heart of Pune pulsed with excitement as the Khasdar Celebrity Cricket League 2025 (KCCL 2025) took center stage at the Lotus Sports Arena, transforming the city into a festival of cricket and celebrity charm. Over July 20th and 21st, icons from Marathi cinema, TV, and sports descended on the city, making KCCL not just a tournament, but Pune’s signature celebration of unity and sporting culture.
Held in honor of Mr. Murlidhar Mohol (Ministry of Civil Aviation, Government of India) and under the guidance of Mr. Chandrakant Patil (Minister of Higher and Technical Education, Maharashtra), the event carried both prestige and a deeper sense of purpose.
A major highlight this year was the spirited leadership of Mr. Sunjjoy Chaudhri, renowned Business Case Study Expert and owner of Team Veer Santaji. His team boasted a glittering line-up: acclaimed film director Viju Mane, actors Sandeep Juwatkar, Gauravraaj, Prasad Khaire, Dr. Bharati Patil, Apeksha Chavan, Dt. Neha Rokde, and well-known film writer Imran Mahadik. Their on-field energy and camaraderie brought fresh excitement to Pune’s cricket scene.
The tournament welcomed a galaxy of Marathi stars—Siddharth Jadhav, Sanjay Jadhav, Pravin Tarde, Sameer Dharmadikari, Upendra Limaye, Prathamesh Parab, Hardeek Joshi, Mahesh Limaye, Madhav Devchakke, Parth Bhalerao, Prasad Oak—and even notable politicians like Sunil Tingre, Rupali Thombre, Suhas Babar, and Kedar Jadhav, highlighting the league’s unique ability to blend cricket with culture.
Fans were treated to thrilling matches, candid celebrity moments, and a spirit of togetherness that showcased Pune’s pride. KCCL 2025 was more than a game; it was a tribute to the city’s love for fitness, friendship, and festive celebration.
