Kolkata, West Bengal – October 07, 2024 – The Small Farmers Agribusiness Consortium (SFAC) proudly hosted the “FPO MELA 2024,” an event dedicated to celebrating West Bengal’s agricultural heritage and the success of Farmer Producer Organizations (FPOs). The event, organized in collaboration with various stakeholders, took place from October 5 to October 7, 2024, at Kalindi Housing Estate Block A, Lake Town, Kolkata.
The three-day event, themed “Empowering Farmers, Enriching Communities,” showcased the remarkable achievements of small farmers and FPOs in West Bengal. It provided a unique platform for consumers to purchase high-quality produce directly from primary producers, ensuring fair prices and supporting the local agricultural community. Visitors had the opportunity to explore a wide variety of farm-fresh products while contributing to the economic upliftment of small-scale farmers.
