Lal Bahadur Shastri Institute of Management celebrated its 30th foundation day

New Delhi: Lal Bahadur Shastri Institute of Management (LBSIM) celebrated its grand 30th Foundation Day at its Dwarka campus. On this special occasion, Delhi’s Lieutenant Governor Vinai Kumar Saxena graced the event as the Chief Guest, highlighting the institute’s significant role in shaping future leaders and promoting academic excellence.

During the event, distinguished alumni of LBSIM were felicitated for their notable contributions across various industries. Among them were Charu Agarwal (2001-03), Director, Sodexo Global Hub; Nikhil Sarin (2002-04), National Head, Honda Cars India Ltd.; Pulkit Goyal (2009-11), Founder and MD, Preferred Square Analytics; Dr. Pulkit Ahuja (2010-12), Founder and CEO, ProxG; and Vineet Ranjan (2010-12), Head, Risk and Strategic Alliances, Fund. Their achievements exemplify the institute’s impact in shaping professionals who drive change and innovation in their respective domains.

Speaking at the event, the Lt. Governor Vinai Kumar Saxena, said, “Lal Bahadur Shastri ji was a leader of exceptional stature. The simplicity and integrity he exemplified remain unmatched not just in India but across the world. As LBSIM marks its 30th Foundation Day, this is not just a celebration but a reaffirmation of Shastri Ji’s ideals that have always guided us. These are the very values that form the foundation of Lal Bahadur Shastri Institute of Management.

Addressing the students, he remarked, “Every graduate of this institute carries forward the spirit of Shastri Ji. Simplicity and honesty are not weaknesses but our greatest strengths. In a world that often prioritizes power and prestige, Shastri Ji teaches us that true leadership is built on values and integrity.”

LBSIM Chairman, Anil Shastri highlighted the institution’s remarkable journey over the past three decades, “LBSIM was founded to create professionals who not only excel in their careers but also uphold integrity and contribute to society. Inspired by the ethos of Shastri Ji, we continue our pursuit of academic and professional excellence. His timeless slogan, ‘Jai Jawan, Jai Kisan,’ remains a symbol of national unity, dedication, and self-reliance,” he said.

Institute Director Prof. Praveen Gupta highlighted the institution’s strides in innovation, leadership, and value-based education, ensuring that students are well-prepared for the evolving corporate landscape. Faculty members were also honored for their contributions to academic excellence. The milestone event reaffirmed LBSIM’s enduring legacy of shaping future leaders with a strong foundation in ethics and excellence.
