New Delhi, December 26th, 2024: The 5th Lima Club Taekwondo Championship 2024-25, supported by Tara Devi Memorial Trust, Delhi Sikh Gurudwara Management Committee, and Shri Akaal Shastra Vidya Academy, was held at Guru Harkishan Public School in Hari Nagar, Delhi.
The event, organized by the Lion Institute of Martial Art Club and its founder, Puneet Sharma, a 5th Dan Black Belt holder, saw participation from over 400 children across 12 clubs.
The championship was attended by several special guests, including Smt. Raj Kumari Dhillon, MLA Hari Nagar; Shri Rajesh Aulakh, Counsellor Hari Nagar; and Smt. Ranjeet Kaur, Spokesperson BJP Delhi and Satendra kumar ji, general secretary Sports academy and welfare association of delhi.
Awards were given to deserving coaches from the Lima Academy, recognizing their capabilities and achievements. Trophies were also presented to all official referees as a token of appreciation.
The team trophies were awarded as follows:
– 3rd place: Fateh Nagar Club
– 2nd place: Subhash Nagar Club
– 1st place: Hari Nagar Club
The “Champion of the Champion” title was awarded to the following winners:
– Under 14 Boys: Vivek, Hari Nagar Club
– Under 14 Girls: Siya, Rajouri Garden Club
– Under 18 Girls: Mehak, Fatehnagar Club
– Under 18 Boys: Somiya Tanwar, Subhash Club
All the winners received the “Champion of the Champion” title for 2024-25.
The event was a huge success, promoting the spirit of sportsmanship and martial arts excellence among the young participants.
