Nothing’s upcoming first true flagship smartphone, Phone (3), to be Made in India

New Delhi, June 14, 2025 – Nothing, a London-based technology company, has announced that its upcoming first true flagship smartphone, Phone (3), will be manufactured locally in India. This move highlights the company’s broader strategy to strengthen its presence in India by leveraging the country’s position as a growing hub for high-quality manufacturing and technological innovation. It also signals a stronger focus on local production, as the company scales up its manufacturing capabilities in the region.

 

The Phone (3) will be produced at Nothing’s manufacturing facility in Chennai, which currently employs over 500 people, 95% of whom are women. By driving the production of key products locally, Nothing aims to increase efficiency, shorten lead times, and respond more quickly to market demand. 

 

On the sidelines of the development, Akis Evangelidis, Co-Founder and India President, said, “India has been an important market for us ever since the very beginning of Nothing. Every one of our smartphones has been manufactured here — and Phone (3) proudly joins that list. As we accelerate our growth here, we’re doubling down on our investment in local manufacturing, talent, and innovation — fully aligned with the Make in India vision. Furthermore, Nothing continues to strengthen its post-sales support network in India. The company currently operates five exclusive service centers in Bengaluru, Delhi, Mumbai, Hyderabad, and Chennai, along with 20 priority desks, with 10 more to be added soon, and over 330+ authorized service centers, which continue to grow in number. These initiatives are aimed at enhancing the overall customer experience and ensuring timely support across regions. Additionally, Nothing’s retail presence has expanded from 2,000 stores at the beginning of last year to 10,000 stores currently, further solidifying its position as a key player in the Indian smartphone landscape.

 

Designed in London and manufactured in India, the Nothing Phone (3) reflects the company’s commitment to uniting global design excellence with local execution. The announcement marks another milestone in Nothing’s growth journey in India, underscoring its long-term vision of building a stronger presence in one of the world’s most dynamic smartphone markets.
