STF Chief Parthasarathi Mahanta Honored with ‘Sahosi’ Gallantry Award by All Tai Ahom Students’ Union

The All Tai Ahom Students’ Union, Assam, has bestowed the prestigious ‘Sahosi’ (Gallantry) Award upon STF Chief of Assam Police, Mr. Parthasarathi Mahanta, IPS. This honor, established in memory of Martyr Dimbeswar Gogoi, celebrates individuals who have displayed extraordinary bravery and commitment to safeguarding the region.

The occasion also marks Anti-Terror Day, a significant observance dedicated to promoting peace and unity. The Tai Ahom community, renowned for its rich heritage and contributions, ruled Assam for six centuries, demonstrating resilience and leadership throughout history. Their legacy continues to inspire generations.

Mr. Mahanta was recognized for his exemplary service in combating challenges to Assam’s security and for his exceptional efforts in the drive against drug trafficking. Currently serving as IGP Administration, Special Task Force, Bureau of Investigation of Economic Offences, and Traffic & Road Safety, Mr. Mahanta’s dedication has significantly contributed to the safety and well-being of the state.
